This travel plan is designed for travellers who are going overseas for a maximum of 6 months to stay with friends or relatives for a minimum of 50% of their trip.
Cover for medical and non medical evacuation and repatriation, medical and dental expenses, cancellation or holiday deferment costs, emergency travel arrangements and accommodation, luggage (in transit only) replacement travel documents. (No pre-existing medical condition cover available). This policy does not provide cover for any snow sports.

This Toursafe travel plan is only available to residents of Australia who are travelling overseas to visit friends or family for a minimum of 50% of your trip and must be issued prior to the commencement of your trip |

The terms and conditions of the policy are subject to the laws of the Australian state or territory where the Certificate of Insurance is issued. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the state or territory |

There is no cover under this policy once you have returned to your normal place of residence within Australia |

Whilst this policy can be extended behond the original trip the maximum duration available is 6 months from departure date. |

An excess of $100 applies to each claim except under Sections B4, D1 and F2 |

This QBE policy does not provide cover for any snow sports. |

You must purchase the Toursafe travel plan according to your destination. |

There is no cover under this QBE policy for an existing medical condition (including pregnancy). Refer Definitions section of the Policy Wording and Section headed Existing Medical Condition (including pregnancy) |

When disaster strikes and the unthinkable happens, it's reassuring to know someone back home is ready to take your call and assist you. The dedicated QBE - OMEGA travellers' assistance teams are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide you with assistance when you need it most. QBE's in-house emergency assistance service OMEGA has been providing help to travellers since 1992. Whether it is in Vietnam or Canada, one call connects you to someone back home. It's comforting to know the person you are speaking to, is part of the QBE Travel team of trained medical and insurance specialists, who can make decisions regarding your situation and provide assistance when you need it the most. |
Although this sounds like a lot of work when you are already busy planning a holiday trip overseas, the following steps can make it much easier to process your claim: |

Make a list of the items you are taking with you, especially new or expensive items. |

Gather up original receipts and credit card statements. |
. |
Obtain current valuations for valuable items where possible. |
. |
If you can't find receipts, take photos of these items. |
. |
Leave all of this documentation at home, where you can access it in the event you need to make a claim. |

Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased the policy, you want to return it, you can do so within 14 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no right or power has been exercised under it by you (eg no claim has been made) and your trip has not commenced. QBE's Distributor will arrange for a refund of the amount payable within 15 business days of you cancelling your policy. The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions. |
Confirming Transactions ... A Certificate of Insurance must be issued once you have completed your application form and you have paid the appropriate premium. If you want to confirm a transaction, for example whether the Certificate of Insurance has been issued, you may contact us in writing or by phone.
