QBE Toursafe Australian Travel Insurance - Travel Plans
What will you be doing on your holiday... Will you be surfing, snow boarding or skiing+
Are you taking expensive computer or camera equipment, Touring by car or motorhome


Covers emergency travel arrangements and accommodation expenses, cancellation or holiday deferment costs, rental vehicle excess, fraudulent use of credit/debit cards, personal liability, luggage and personal items, participation in amateur sports and recreational activities.

Most sporting and adventure activities are covered at no extra cost including golf, tennis, surfing, water skiing, bungee jumping, para-sailing, white-water rafting, trekking, cycling, hot air ballooning
.

+ Consider the QBE addVANTAGE+ Option, as this option offers cover for winter sports, sports equipment while in use, medical only onboard a cruise ship in Australian waters, increased benefits for cruise cancellation, rental vehicle excess, computers, camera, emergency luggage.
QBE Toursafe Australian - Travel Plan
This policy covers travel within Australia for cancellation or rearrangment costs, additional travel expenses, repatriation, cover for your luggage and personal effects. Any Existing Medical Condition (other than those conditions on the automatic approval list) must be disclosed and approved by us prior to the issue of the Certificate of Insurance. A maximum of 2 adults can be named on a Certificate of Insurance. Please include your departure and return dates when calculating your duration.
The Toursafe Australian Travel Insurance from QBE premium is payable per adult.
PER ADULT (Accompanying financially dependant child, children, grandchildren, step children, nieces and nephews who are not in full-time employment and are under 25 years of age) are covered at no additional cost. If you wish to obtain details of stamp duty and taxes please call 1300 791 948.

If You Are Under 70 Years When the Certificate of Insurance is issued
Medical, dental and ancillary costs incurred within Australia are not covered.
If you have purchased the Toursafe Australian Travel Plan with the
QBE addVANTAGEOption for just $50 (Pay $35) per adult, then cover is provided for emergency medical or dental treatment required only onboard a cruise ship in Australian waters. These additional benefits are shown under the Schedule of Benefits.
Eligibility
Insurance is not available to travellers outside Australia.
The terms and conditions of the policy are subject to the laws of the Australian state or territory where the Certificate of Insurance is issued. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory. This QBE policy must be issued prior to the commencement of your trip if you are a non resident of Australia. There is no provision to suspend this policy during the period of insurance. You cannot substitute the nominated insured, whose name appears on the Certificate of Insurance.
A maximum of 2 adults can be named on a Certificate of Insurance.
Restrictions To Cover
There is no cover under this policy for any claim that results from your participation in a snow sport activity unless you have purchased the QBE addVANTAGE + Option.
Cover for cancelling or deferring a cruise is limited to $2,000 on all travel plans unless you purchase the QBE addVANTAGE+ Option.

However there is no cover under this QBE policy for any claim arising as a result of, or exacerbated by, or consequential upon your existing medical condition unless you have told QBE about it, QBE have agreed to cover you and you have paid any additional premium QBE ask for. If you require cover for your existing medical condition(s) (including pregnancy) or over 80 years of age please refer to the section in the PDS headed Existing Medical Condition on page 17.

You may also choose to take out cover to protect you if your trip is cancelled, cut short or disrupted due to an existing medical condition of a non-travelling relative or business partner provided they are under 80 years of age (see PDS page 18 for details).
If you do not select this additional benefit there will be no cover if your trip is cancelled, cut short or disrupted as a result of your non-travelling relative's or business partner's existing medical condition unless you have told QBE about it, QBE have agreed to cover you and you have paid any additonal premium QBE ask for.
QBE Toursafe Australian Cancellation & Additional Expenses Travel Plans
The Australian Cancellation And Additional Expenses is a per fare paying passenger.
This policy will cover you if you are travelling within Australia and you only want cover for the non-refundable part of pre-paid travel arrangements or additional travel, accommodation and meals.
There is no cover under this policy for claims relating to an existing medical condition (including pregnancy), luggage or a trip in excess of 12 months

The dedicated QBE - OMEGA travellers' assistance teams are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide you with assistance when you need it most. QBE's in-house emergency assistance service OMEGA has been providing help to travellers since 1992. It's comforting to know the person you are speaking to, is part of the QBE Travel team of trained medical and insurance specialists, who can make decisions regarding your situation and provide assistance when you need it the most.
MATTERS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased the policy, you want to return it, you can do so within 14 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no right or power has been exercised under it by you (eg no claim has been made) and your trip has not commenced. QBE's Distributor will arrange for a refund of the amount payable within 15 business days of you cancelling your policy. The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions.
Confirming Transactions ... A Certificate of Insurance must be issued once you have completed your application form and you have paid the appropriate premium. If you want to confirm a transaction, for example whether the Certificate of Insurance has been issued, you may contact us in writing or by phone.
