QBE International / Australian Annual and Multi Trip Travel Plans
If you are a regular traveller, whether it's overseas or within Australia, this policy covers you, plus upgrade to include your family, for participation in a wide range of amateur sporting, holiday and business activities during each trip.

This policy also offers independent travel cover for you with the facility to travel separately from the other people insured on your policy.
This way you won't have the hassle of purchasing travel insurance every time you travel

Cover for pre-existing medical conditions and travellers aged over 70 years; must apply online for medical appraisal cover when purchasing your policy.


The QBE addVANTAGE+ option offers increased benefits and limits, trip duration increased to 90 days, increased vehicle excess cover, increased cruise cancellation or deferment costs, increased luggage and personal effects per item, cover for winter sports plus cover for you sporting equipment while in use.


QBE's 24 hour in-house emergency assistance service OMEGA has been providing help to travellers since 1992.

Guidelines
The maximum duration of any one trip is 60 days unless you have selected the QBE addVANTAGE Option where the trip duration is extended to 90 days.
Please select your 'Commencement Date' on your application form
There is no limit to the amount of trips you may take during your 12 months period of insurance.
Provided you comply with the terms and conditions of this policy, including the requirements for an existing medical condition, including pregnancy, you can upgrade to cover your accompanying spouse, defacto partner or dependant child or children or you can include the QBE addVANTAGE Option at any time during the period of insurance.
Cover under the upgrade will commence from the time you pay the amount payable until the period of insurance ends.
Service Fees apply if upgrade is after the Certificate of Insurance has been issued.
A maximum of 2 adults can be named on a Certificate of Insurance.

Insurance is not available to travellers outside Australia

The terms and conditions of the QBE policy are subject to the laws of the Australian state or territory where the Certificate of Insurance is issued. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territry.

This QBE policy must be issued prior to the commencement of your trip if you are a non resident of Australia, travelling to Region A destination or you are 60 years of age or over at the time the original Certificate of Insurance is to be issued

There is not provision to suspend this QBE policy during the period of insurance.

You cannot substitute the nominated insured, whose name appears on the Certificate of Insurance.
Restrictions To Cover
*
There is no cover under this QBE policy for any claim that results from your participation in a snow sports activity unless you have purchased the QBE addVANTAGE Option.

Cover for cancelling or deferring a cruise is limited to $2,000 on all travel plans unless you purchase the
QBE
addVANTAGE Option.

The applicable limits listed in the Schedule of Benefits are per adult, including any accompanying child or children.

A loss which occurs in excess of 60 days of any trip, or in excess of 90 days of any trip if you have purchased the QBE addVANTAGE Option, unless you have applied for a trip extension and it has been approved by QBE.
MATTERS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased the policy, you want to return it, you can do so within 14 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no right or power has been exercised under it by you (eg no claim has been made) and your trip has not commenced. QBE's Distributor will arrange for a refund of the amount payable within 15 business days of you cancelling your policy. The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions.
Confirming Transactions ... A Certificate of Insurance must be issued once you have completed your application form and you have paid the appropriate premium. If you want to confirm a transaction, for example whether the Certificate of Insurance has been issued, you may contact us in writing or by phone.
